JJ Sobey

Hi, my name is JJ, and I live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. For those who didn't do any better in geography than I did in school, I'm about one hour north of Plattsburgh, New York. My husband and I were married in 2001, in a costumed, Renaissance wedding (there’s my weird fact for the day). We have a four year old boy, and a one year old baby girl. My kids are the reason that I started scrapbooking. I resisted the hobby for many years, because I knew it would be addicting. No surprise - now I'm firmly hooked!

I've been crafting in one form or another since I was big enough to hold a crayon. Sewing was my biggest obsession, and I go back and forth to that still, as the muses strike, but it's kind of taken a backseat to the scrapbooking. And I'm OK with that. I mostly scrap 12x12, but I dabble in other formats. Some call my style Shabby Chic, but my style might be better described as ‘eclectic’ – some days I like simple, other days – not so much. Lately my style has been trending towards more distressed and grungy.

As you may have already realized, besides Scrapbooking – some of my other addictions are Starbucks, Sushi and Styx (classic rock). But not all at the same time - Peppermint Mocha and Spicy Scallops just don't mix. (Styx is, of course, perfect with either.)

Valerie Allen

Hi, My name is Valerie Allen and I live in Phoenix. Arizona. I have been married for 6 years and have an energetic 8 month girl old and an almost 3 year old boy. I have been a stay at home mom for the past few years, and have really enjoyed it. We love visiting new places, camping, and watching just about any kind of sports as a family.
Scrapbooking began for me with the birth of my son and I haven't looked back. It has given me a creative outlet that also allows me to remember those moments that go by so quickly. I like layering on my layouts and enjoy the process of putting a layout together. I also love photography- rarely is there a time that I go out without my camera! I also dabble in sewing and cooking (especially baking.) I have met so many wonderful people through scrapbooking, and am thrilled to be part of the Scrapbook Sussies design team!

Jennifer Halleck

Hello! My name is Jennifer and I live in Colorado with my husband and 3 daughters. I'm a self-employed SAHM to three daughters ages 8 {almost}, 6, and 4 (my primary scrapping subjects)! I've been scrapping for over 10 years and have a serious paper addiction. I am the proud owner of more paper than I could possibly ever use. Scrapbooking is a creative outlet for me and I try and do something every day. I'm pretty much the traditional 2-page, 12 by 12 scrapper and don't venture off that path very often! I'm so very honored to continue to be a part of the Scrapbook Sussies Design Team and am very thankful to Lara for the opportunity!! I look forward to what the future will bring to us here!!

Hello, I'm Cindy. I am a SAHM of a beautiful, crazy little boy and wife of 9 years to my AMAZING & equally crazy husband and we are proud to call Atlantic Canada our home. I have been scrapping for 4+ years, starting shortly after my son was born. Not long after THAT, I discovered the LSS and was HOOKED-this hobby fuels my passion to create and shop alike!!

I am a DIE HARD paper addict. I can never have enough (although, I am sure my husband wouldn't agree) and Sussies kits are the PERFECT way to feed my appetite for paper & I get loaded up on embellies at the same time! I am THRILLED & HONORED to be a part of the Sussies team. Thank you again, Lara for inviting me!

Lisa Wilkinson

My name is Lisa Wilkinson. I live in Tamworth, NH. I am married to the love of my life and have 5 amazing children from ages 1-11. I have been scrapbooking for about 12 years and have been addicted ever since I started. I am an everyday scrapper. I scrap everyday things everyday. I love to keep it simple, yet add my own unique touches and embellishing to make the pages truly my own. I love layers, buttons and hand sewing! I scrapbook to create something lasting, something that will help us remember all the memories we have created as a family and all the beauty that is around me. When I am not creating scrapbook pages and art you can find me cleaning organizing or home schooling. Our family can also be found enjoying all of the nature around us. the mountains, lakes and ocean. In all seasons, we love to play outside!

Leah Wright

Hi! I'm Leah Wright from the sweet state of Alabama. I'm so excited to be a part of this team! I am a SAHM of two girls, ages 2 and my new arrival that was born in June. I've been married for 9 years to my High School sweetheart. My family is my main motivation for scrapbooking to capture everyday moments, but I also just really enjoy the creative process.

I've been scrapbooking for about 3 years now, but my obsession with the Hobby started about a year and a half ago after my first child was born and I found the online community of scrappers.

When I'm not scrapbooking I enjoy spending time with my kids, watching movies with my husband, reading, and college football. I also really enjoy photography and am learning as much as I can about improving my picture taking.

Lara McClendon
(I realize my name doesn't exactly fall alphabetically in the mix, but I thought I would put the real talent first!)

I started Scrapbook Sussies at the end of 2005, for something to do. Having been a "career woman" for ten years in finance and accounting, I wanted something else to keep me busy - as if staying at home with the kids wasn't keeping me busy enough! I had been scrapbooking since 1999 and I loved loved loved it! So I thought this was a perfect "at home" thing to do. The best part about it is that every day that I work on some aspect of Scrapbook Sussies, it never feels like work! It's all what I love to do.

Aside from scrapbooking, I keep myself busy reading, running, traveling, and some volunteer work. My beautiful children Annie and Ryan are always making me laugh with all of their antics. My husband, Dave, is such a great blessing to me. He supports all the craziness that I bring to the house and somehow manages to still love me. Life is good.
